Pine Island is located on the Androscoggin River in Jay. There is a small day park on the island which is used to access the river with canoes and small boats. It is also used for fishing and picknicing. The park is open to the public during daytime hours.There is a bridge leading to the island which you can drive over if the gate is open.
The cache is a small camouflaged lock-n-lock type box and contains a log book and pencil as well as a few small items to trade.
CAUTION: There is poison ivy on the island but if you are careful there is no need to go near it.
Muggles are often present so be careful.
The original ammo box cache disappeared. It was replaced on 6/18/11.
