Geocache Description:

Here it is, the final Oregon GeoBeads cache - containing the highly sought after L.A.U.G.H. Bead.

The coordinates above list one of the stages where you will have to visit. It is not necessary to visit these in the order listed.

Happy Hunting!

This is the fifth and final in a series for you to collect GeoBeads for your GPSr. If you don't want to collect GeoBeads, please just sign the log. Please don't take a bead as a trade item. As these are a limited edition – we ask that each family / caching group take only one bead. This allows more to enjoy the fun.

Like in Cub Scouts where boys get beads for completing achievements, we have created beads for geocaching achievements. Visit Oregon GeoBeads Earth cache to get the first GeoBead and the string. You can tie the string to your GPSr. Each time you find another GeoBead cache, just add the new bead to your string.

Find Oregon GeoBeads Earth, Oregon GeoBeads Air, Oregon Geobeads Water, and Oregon GeoBeads Fire. Then, with the knowledge you gain; you may locate Oregon GeoBeads - L.A.U.G.H. cache to claim the unique L.A.U.G.H. bead.

This series was inspired by the original GeoBeads series created by ZapBoy - located in Mountain View, California. They have graciously allowed us to use their idea. If you happen to be in that area, find their series as well.

The actual cache is located at N44 AB.CDE, W123 FG.HIJ. This cache may be solved on foot or by car, but we suggest the best way would be on bike to enjoy some of the local river trails.

A: Go to N44 05.510, W123 06.964
Subtract the number of light poles from the number of benches on this bridge. This number is A.

B: Go to N44 03.374, W123 04.888
B equals the last digit in the phone number there.

C: Go to N44 04.816, W123 06.864
Here you will find a light pole with a number. To solve for C, subtract the third digit of this number from the fourth digit. The result is C.

D: Go to N44 04.009, W123 06.762
Here you will find a sign. On this sign, it mentions the distances of three trails. To figure out D, you need to know the state of the four FINAL cache containers for the original Oregon GeoBeads series. Of the final cache containers, how many are magnetic?
If one, D equals the last digit in the mileage for the North Bank Trail.
If two, D equals the last digit in the mileage for the South Bank Trail.
If three, D equals the last digit in the mileage for the West Bank Trail.

E: Go to N44 03.751, W123 06.145
Here you will find two phone numbers. Of the four original Oregon GeoBeads, how many are “round”? If there are two, use the “rent it” phone number If there are three, use the “contribute” phone number.
E equals the last digit of the correct phone number.

F: Go to N44 03.327, W123 05.074
Here you will find a four-digit number. Subtract the second digit from the fourth digit to get F.

G: Go to N44 04.050, W123 06.708
How many benches do you find on this bridge? The number of benches equals G.

H: Go to N44 04.010, W123 06.773
Here you will find a number pertaining to the Pooper Scoop ordinance. Two digits in this number are in parentheses. Multiply these two digits together to solve for H

I: Go to N44 03.641, W123 05.935
I equals the fifth digit in the phone number there.

J: Go to N44 05.565, W123.06.667
Here you will find another light pole with a number (Isn’t it nice that all light poles in Eugene are numbered?) The third digit of this number is J.
