Le parc dans lequel nous avons placé cette micro cache est situé juste derrière la propriété de mon père où j'ai passé de belles années dans ma jeunesse. Dans ce temps là, le parc n'existait pas et il n'y avait que des champs à l'horizon. Un jour, la ville de Boucherville s'est amenée et a construit un réservoir, ce qui a provoqué bien des émois chez nous et l'endroit est devenu par la suite un de nos terrains de jeu préféré, avec une vue surplombant les champs des alentours. Nous étions pionniers il faut croire, car aujourd'hui la ville a cru bon de faire un vrai parc tout autour du fameux réservoir. C'est bien sûr venu avec toutes les maisons qui ont été construites dans le coin. Comme aparté, je trouve que ça serait intéressant si Google Earth pouvait faire voyager sur l'axe du temps et montrer par photos satellites ou aériennes comment l'urbanisation s'est développée.

The parc in which we placed this micro cache is right behind my father's property where I spent wonderful years in my youth. At the time, the parc did not exist and there were only fields on the horizon. One day, the city of Boucherville came by and started building a reservoir, which caused an upheaval at home and the site soon became one of favourite playing grounds, with an overview of the surrounding fields from the now higher position. We were pioneers it would seem, because these days the city thought it was a good idea to create real playgrounds all around the reservoir in question. It came of course with all the houses that were built in the neighbourhood. As an aside, I think it would be interesting if Google Earth could let us travel on the time axis and show us through satellite or aerial photographs the development of urbanisation.
Sorry, we did not have a lottery ticket for the FTF! If nobody finds it before we return to visit my father, we'll bring one.
