There is a regular sized recycled & repainted ammo can hidden
at stage two.
We are happy to share a little bit of the Willows Airport history
with you. This is the home and birth place of the Aerial
Firefighting Air Tanker Program
At this cache site, you will learn a bit of aviation history
that has been so easily overlooked until recently. This cache is
the sister cache to the
"FIRST BASE" Geocache (Waypoint GCKDBC)
Many thanks to Yar?Yar! for surrendering his “Willows Airport”
cache so that we could place this cache on the 50th anniversary of
the Birth of the Aerial Firefighting Air Tanker Program.
Bonus feature, there are a lot of pictures to view inside
Nancy’s Cafe, of airtankers making retardant drops. Nancy's Airport
Cafe is open 24 hours a day and makes a great Geocaching break
spot!
Please do not ask the employees where the cache is. Only the owner
and manager know where it is, and they aren’t telling!
For stage one, find the Plaque located at the listed
coordinates:
N 39° 31.357
W 122° 13.128
YES, IT'S OK TO WALK
OUT TO THE PLAQUE!
(Start at Nancy's Cafe and
head South.)
To find stage two, do some simple math, and fill in the

W 122° C 3. B 0
A is the MONTH (number) that the plaque was donated.
B is the DAY that the plaque was donated.
C is the last number of the YEAR that the plaque was
donated.
There is no need to go bush whacking while looking for this
cache. You can reach the second stage of this cache by keeping your
feet on the patio. Please place cache back as you found it.
Thank-you!
