How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Located on the W&OD bike/horse trail, this micro cache will be a challenge for most cachers.

A short ride from any of the nearby trailheads, the W&OD trail will take you cruising past scenic farmland, lazy creeks, and some new suburban neighborhoods. It isn't unusual to spot horse and rider, and whenever I go out I always spot some interesting wildlife - today, for instance, I spooked a tree frog who was resting on a stone and was perfectly camoflaged in grey. When he jumped to a tree branch, I watched in amazement as he changed from grey to bright green over a 15 minute period!

Here is Dave just after he made the find!

Have fun with this cache, and if you bring little cachers with you please be mindful that some bikers go whizzing by without looking, so keep little ones off of the trail (and the rocks) for their safety. The cache container is a silver 'buffalo' capsule, just like the ones favored by local cacher Rufnredy. What could be simpler?
