This is our second container hidden at MUM. My husband (Frodo)
found the hiding spot last December when we placed
One For M.U.M. There are several hiking options to get there.
Parking is near the tennis courts.
This area used to be called Bunny Hollow. Bunny Hollow was a park
for employees of American Rolling Mill Company, now AK Steel. The
park was built around 1921. Employees could bring their families to
Bunny Hollow for picnicing, playground and general R&R. There
are many approaches to the cache. We parked at N39 31.452, W084
21.655 and hiked up the old paved maintenance road. We followed the
road which lead us south of the cache. The road comes back towards
the cache. This route requires no bushwacking and brings you in
contact with no poison ivy, however it is just under a half mile
hike. There are other trailheads closer, however the trails will be
different. Let us know which path you took. The first container was
muggled, however, the container was left and the contents remained.
We put out a replacement, thinking the first was gone. It is not.
You can log both containers if you find both. The original has only
a log book as the container is no longer waterproof. The
replacement has trade items. Please do not add trade items to the
original cache so we can identify which one was found.
