Hi, this is in reference to the "Scenic byway" cache, GCQ350, which is located in our information Kiosk at the US Forest Service Ranger Station, Clear Creek Ranger District. The site states that permission was given by the Forest Service to locate the cache there. Perhaps someone did ask permission, and was granted permission, but the appropriate person, our Recreation Program manager was not asked or informed. She makes the decisions on this. It may be a clever location, but the Program manager has issue with it. She has safety and security concerns with putting the cache in a place that people are regularly using to get information. We also don't appreciate people looking all around our parking lot, because we do have a portion of the parking lot that is for Employees Only. The other day I saw a guy wandering around this area, and looking in a drop box that I often use to leave paperwork for visitors and partners after hours, which remains unlocked. I do not feel I can use this box if I know perhaps people will be looking in every nook of the parking lot. Please contact me if you have concerns, otherwise, please remove this cache from the site, or move the cache well out of the parking area. Thanks. Please come to the office if you would like "the cache" back.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Thanks,
