This cache is located on the South 415 as you enter (or leave) the
small community in the Cohocton Valley, a short distance off of
I-390. This is an easy drive-to cache.
This cache is in a Red Vines licorice container. It contains your
typical geo-swag. Every summer we head to Grammy's house from ours
in Big Bear Lake,California to enjoy the lush green hills of the
Cohocton Valley. This year, we happened to visit during Cohocton's
bicentennial (1805-2005), so we thought it a worthy time to place
our first geocache! Cohocton is well-known for its annual
tree-sitting contest in which contestants occupy a tree for 48
hours, vying for prizes. This takes place every October during the
Fall Foliage Festival. Consider a visit!
