The Alien Abduction and How We Were Saved

I was sitting at our kitchen table neatly sculpting a butte out of mashed potatoes listening to my little sister outside trying to get me to finish them “You can come and play now…” she said. Suddenly my father burst through our screen door.
“Mildred” he said to our mom, “Our drunken crop duster Randy Casse says he saw some crop circles in our cornfield. Randy kept blabbing on about aliens but I don’t believe it was them guys for a minute. Jay and Kay, you two stay out of that cornfield until I figure out who’s done this.” Dad stomped off into the parlor and dialed up our local sheriff, Lt. Ellen Ripley declaring he wanted the responsible parties to pay for damages.
“Now Dad’s really dreaming. No way am I gonna miss the most exciting thing to happen here all summer.” I thought to myself. Later that night after Mom and Dad were asleep, Kay and I snuck out to the cornfield with our flashlights to check out those crop circles and sure enough, there they were. Perfectly formed designs. We both instinctively looked up the starry night sky.
“Look, the stars are moving” Kay said nervously as the stars rearranged themselves into moving lights spinning around the rim of a large object. The next thing we know, we are staring at a large disk-shaped craft hovering about 50 feet above our cornfield.
In the next moment, I was standing with Kay staring at a really ugly large brained It all began one hot summer night shortly after the fourth of July out at our farm. Alien. “Agents Jay and Kay,” he said telepathically to us, “have you found any new recruits for our troops in our war on the giant bug creatures of planet Klendathu?” I looked at Kay and we shrugged our shoulders. My knees started to shake as the alien waited for our answer. We understood as he angrily complained to another alien that human children are too young at age one to understand and carry out instructions and that we might not go to waste after all as we could be used as fertilizer to grow alien food. I could see out a window behind the bigheaded Alien and it looked as if cars were coming up our dirtroad below.
“We’re saved!” I thought to myself. Then I heard the strangest sounds, kind of like yodeling coming closer. The bigheaded alien began to clutch his head in pain and suddenly my sister and I found ourselves standing safe in the cornfield. The spaceship began to wobble a little. Our neighbors, the Ferriers, had pulled up in their car alongside our cornfield. Mrs. Ferrier screamed, “Get in, Manny, or you’re going to die!” The yodeling sounds were getting closer as I realized it was coming from the speakers on top of Lt. Ripley’s cruiser and she was playing “Indian Love Call” by Slim Whitman.
“Look Jay, the alien’s head exploded” Kay said me while pointing up at the window of the spaceship. Ugh-gross!” My father and Lt Ripley climbed out of the cruiser and high-fived each other. “Works everytime.” Lt Ripley said sounding relieved. “Cigar?” my father offered her as the alien spaceship sped away into the night sky and there they sat- our heroes smoking cigars.
I never knew Dad smoked cigars…and that’s the story of our alien abduction…

Add up the individual digits of the eight movies’ release dates for example 1981, 1985 would be 1+9+8+1+1+9+8+5 etc and add the sum to the North coordinates and subtract the sum from the West coordinates above to reach the cache. In the case where there are sequels, pick the first movie’s release date. All movies are from 1970’s to the present and are pretty well known. Just ask your favorite 12 year old. PLEASE MAKE UP YOUR OWN ALIEN ABDUCTION STORY FOR THE LOG.Good Luck!
Feel free to email me to confirm if the movie and or coordinates are correct.
