Nice Hoover trail to the Cahaba River. The very begining of the trail is a bit steep, and uphill on the return trip, but is otherwise level and a very pleasant wooded hike . Cache is at the end of the "official" trail.
This is a traditional ammo box cache with several small, nice trade items and log. The trail is practically new, and is a nice wooded hike to the Cahaba River. Cachers here have seen deer, turkey, and rabbits--smack in the heart of Hoover! The tree cover is thick, so GPS reception may be spotty--you will have to go to the end of the official trail, and then venture 30' or so off the beaten path. Please re-cover the cache, leaving it hidden better than you found it. Please bring a nice treasure to swap, and keep the cache junk-free. We hope you enjoy this nice trail in Hoover's back yard. Best parking is at the trail head: N33 20.149', W086 50.772'.
