Flowery: I didn't check on this right away because DNFs aren't unusual, but after a few....so sorry to say this one is gone. I'm not even sure what happened, but the area where the cache was has been altered quite a bit - looks like some muggles ripped up a whole chunk of the roots where the cache was hidden. Hope it doesn't hurt the trees! Anyway, this cache was there for quite a while so now someone else can put a new one here.

Geocache Description:

Bring your bathing suit and towel to enjoy a summer afternoon, or perhaps a blanket, a nice bottle of Chianti, and your special someone on a moonlit night...

This cache is placed at one of the nicest beaches you'll find in the Adirondacks. Nice clean sand, no seaweed, no muck, and a gradual dropoff all on state land makes it a very popular spot for families on hot summer days. Park at the lot on Route 30 and walk down the short trail to the beach. Cache is a small green tin that is well hidden due to the extensive muggle traffic in this area. It was a spot just calling out for a cache! Please re-hide as well as you found it, covered up with items from the natural surroundings, and bring your own writing implement. Be stealthy - there are lots of muggles here and the cache has already had to be replaced twice!

NOTE: THERE IS NO LIFEGUARD AT THE BEACH SO PLEASE SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK! There are also no bathrooms or changing facilities. Dogs are allowed on the beach and in the water but should be either leashed or under excellent voice command as on all ADK park land. It always amazes us that even when the parking lot is overflowing, the beach doesn't seem too crowded due to its size. That said, extreme stealth will be necessary on hot busy days as it is in a high-traffic area. We hope you enjoy this special spot. Although this could be a cache and dash, we recommend hanging out to enjoy the view of beautiful Lake Clear.
