Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This cache is placed with the intention of providing a nice scenic tour along the coast and maybe even a look at the rocks.
Walking beaches and looking at cleavage is maybe not an unfamiliar past time for some of you. This geocache will give another chance to see plenty of cleavage but this time in the rocks along this coast!
Cleavage is a geological term for the when rocks break along closely spaced fractures, after the rock has been deformed, for example by folding. Pencil cleavage is when the fractures form long pieces of fractured rock. Although this is not uncommon around the Oslo region, this walk will allow you to observe it in many places.
We suggest that you begin your walk at a trail head located at N 59 52.659 E010 36.742.
On nice days there are plenty of mugglers to watch out for! Please replace the cache exactly how you found it.
