This is an area set aside for horseback riding and dog sled running. Trails are marked and camping is provided.
Our oldest son runs his sled dogs in this area in the winter and dirt bike rides in the summer. The parking coordinate is 45 11.048 and 088 50.109. There is a very nice shelter area here with picnic tables as well as toilets and a hand pump for water. Horseback riders come and camp here and ride the trails. There is plenty of public hunting in the area as I can testify to since my husband, son and I got a deer here last year. The hills are very beautiful in contrast to the flat areas around Antigo but hunting in them can be quite a challenge. The cache is a camo wrapped mayo jar. The gorilla is holding a first finders prize.
