Located in Lenape Woods Nature Preserve in the hills of Atlantic Highlands. The trails are generally easy with one short, somewhat steep climb.
This nature preserve is near the highest point on the Atlantic coast. It is a relatively small wooded park on a tract of land that was purchased to prevent further housing development, and preserve some natural open space in this fast growing suburban area. It is named for the Lenni Lenape Indians who originally inhabited this area.
Limited parking is available at the entrance with the following coordinates:
N 40 24.589, W 074 00.963
The cache is a tupperware type shoebox. Original contents include log book, pen, pencil and sharpener, jump rope, dice, top, baseball, matchbox car, beaded change purse, sting ray water squirter, conch shell and rubber grasshopper.
