Trailhead is in the Laurel Hills part of Stockbridge - accessible by parking in the trailhead lot (42 16.694N 073 18.445W) or parking on Route 7 by the old Stockbridge Plain School - cut across the baseball field and path in the woods beyond left field will get you to the lot/trailhead too. Once on the trail, make sure to follow split to the Tower, not to the Glen. Fairly steep terrain at some points but not as difficult as nearby Monument Mountain.
A lesser known but still worthy hike in the Berkshire region of Western MA. The climb up the stairs to the top of the tower provides a great view of the Housatonic Valley. Started the cache (rubbermaid container with dark red top in a large ziplock bag) on 8/15/05 with several plastic fish/water related items & four travel bugs (family competition - please take only one at a time!) May need to read the clue to help find cache (or we may need to relocate) - it's NOT at the Tower base! Good general info about this area can be found at (visit link)
