Dead Tree Cache Traditional Cache
SilverLakeLooters: This area has now been marked No Trespassing - even though it is a bridge over public property. Rather than get into conflicts, I'm archiving this cache.

A simple, traditional cache in a public place, there is parking nearby and the terrain is fairly easy. On the shore of the mighty Silver Lake. Don't go during tsunami season.
There is still a dead tree in the vicinity, but that won't lead you to the cache.
You can park across the street, by the Silver Lake Village Hall, or at the park by the baseball diamond. We're talking very minimal bushwhacking here, but you might have to do some crawling.
Only two of our crew could get out to hide this one, but one of us was dressed in a fluorescent green Tyrannosaurus Rex costume complete with tail. We restocked the cache and lubricated the container lid on Jan 22, 2006.
You'll be close to the water, so watch out for the Silver Lake Monster; he's been known to lunge out and drag folks down to his watery lair. Don't say we didn't warn you. And don't fall in the lake. The sharks are hungry.
