Geocache Description:

Welcome to Picture Caynon in Southeast Colorado.

You'll have to walk aprox 1/4 mile to reach the cache. The cache is in a ziplock container with a blue lid. There are numerous trinkets in the cache along with a log book.

From Springfield, Colorado drive south on Highway 287 for 17 miles; turn right (west) on County Road M for 8 miles; turn left (south) on County Road 18 for 8 miles; turn right (south) at the Picture Canyon road sign (Forest Service Road 533) and continue 1 mile to the parking area.

Park in the parking lot and follow the trail. After you have located the cache, be sure to continue on down the trail and take in the sceneory. Look for the Indian petroglyphs and pictographs, please remember to not touch the ancient writings as the oils in our hands will ruin them. There is an Medicine man and a buffalo on the walls.
