Placed behind Wharncliffe Crags with some superb views over to the peaks not far away. This cache in under tree’s so GPS reception may be poorer in Summer. The Cache is accessible with wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Really nice quiet location just behind the Crags. The cache itself can be done within half an hour, but it is well worth spending some time exploring the Forestry commission land. There are loads of paths and brilliant views. Sunsets from the crags themselves are excellent.
Be warned however, it will get muddy after rain, so wellies or boots are advised.
Limited parking is available at N 53 28.402 W 001 32.020. However, there are other parking places in Wharncliffe Woods themselves.
The cache itself is a 1L box with the usual goodies.
