This cache is located in Rose Hill Cemetery. You can drive to within 5' of this cache. It is a quick cache and dash for the experienced cacher, but may be a little difficult for a novice. Though the story may make you want to visit it at night, keep in mind that you still need to be respectful of the surroundings and the neighborhood nearby. There are no gates or posted times of visiting and we were told the cemetery is always open.
The cache is located in a camo vitamin bottle with small trade items and log book. Please bring a writing utensil. Replace exactly as found. This is our first cache in Altoona and hope to place more. I visit here often as my family is here. They have agreed to keep watch over My Lady and see to any needs she may have while I'm away. However, if there are any problems, please let me know. Here's the reason we decided to place this cache in this location.
My friends and I used to hang out in this area back in high school. This was about 6 to 7 years ago. There was a statue of a girl that we called My Lady that my best friend and I thought was beautiful. We loved to drive up to her and we would sit and talk for hours.
There are many ghost stories about this graveyard. Too many to write here. We had some very freaky experiences here also. Some nights the graveyard would feel comfortable and welcoming but on other nights it would give you a chilling fear that you would never forget. Try this cache at night and maybe you'll get a fright! Let me know..... Bouldergirl
