Geocache Description:

This cache is for kids (and the big kids too). It's a quick and easy off a popular trail in Evans Creek Canyon (near the Basque Sheepherder's Monument). It's a small plastic container with a log sheet. NO PEN - PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN.

This cache is really easy to find. It's placed by kids for the kids (big and small) but try to be sneaky when retrieving since it's "right off" the trail and the trail is popular for runners and hikers.

My recommendation on approaching this cache is to drive to the Reno Sports Complex which is on N. Virginia St; about a 1/4 mile north after crossing McCarran Blvd. Park on the west side of the parking lot and you'll see see the trail head. From this point there are multiple ways of approach, all on maintained trails. Also plan to stop and find the Basque Sheepherder's cache too, as you will walk right by it. Another closeby cache is SnakeTunL.

Includes all typical cache stuff: log book, log sheet, geocaching.com disclaimer and is capable of holding coin and very small-stuff swag.

We hid this one while on a 4 mile round-trip hike (from the Reno Sports complex to the Rancho playground walking under McCarran) with my three kids, wife and my middle child's friend, Justice and her sister, Destiny. I couldn't believe they lasted that long in 90 degree heat and just had to hide a cache for them!

It was a great time and great memory!
