Yet another cache in second oldest game reserve in the world.
This cache is hidden in a nature reserve.
There are hiking, mountain bike and 4 X 4 trails through the reserve which is populated with fat, happy Zebra, Giraffe and Wildebeest. You can have an informal picnic back at the parking area once done.
The cache is hidden just off the mountain bike and 4 X 4 trails. It is easy enough to hike along these trails to the cache. It is a bit of walk - about 1.5km up a hill...
The reserve is open in summer (September - April) from 05h30 - 19h00 and in winter (May - August) 07h00 - 18h00. Entrance is R15 per adult, R10 per child (R3 pre-school), R30 for 4x4. ~ (Thanks to Global Rat for this info!)
There are two ways into the reserve, generally on weekends and public holidays it is best to use the gate at S 25º 47.386' E 28º 11.768'. On other days use the gate at the adjacent park (S 25º 46.878 E 28º 11.597')
The cache contains the usual mish mash of goodies, but also an Orca Whale. PLEASE LEAVE HER IN THE CACHE, she is happy there.
There is also a message hidden in the cache somewhere...find it, take it and leave a new message in the same place for the next cacher to discover. Please include the message you find in your log.
