Geocache Description:

First date

A Kansas Heartland Geocache

We went to the movies but we didn't have anything in particular that we were going to see. At one point on the way there, I drove under Kellogg. I know I checked the intersection to see that the intersection was clear, so I kept driving. As I passed through the intersection, my date told me that I ran a red light! No I didn't. I looked in the rear-view mirror. Sure enough, there was the red traffic light looking back at me.

Once we got to the theatre we checked out the selections available. We went in to see the Disney movie Aladdin knowing that it had already started. We walked in right as Genii came out of the lamp, so it seemed to us like the plot of the movie had just started and we didn't think we had missed anything. It wasn't until Aladdin came out on VHS tape that we saw the beginning. To this day, everytime I see the Disney video logo at the beginning of a movie, my mind plays the melody that was played at the beginning of Aladdin.

On the way home I was heading south on West Street and wanted to turn east on Pawnee Avenue. It was dark and I knew I was close to the intersection, so I turned just before the intended intersection and found myself driving in the wrong direction on Southwest Boulevard. I got myself turned back around and made the correct turn on the second go-round.

The first date was a success and I was in bliss. Do I call her back the next day? No way! "Guy laws" dictate that you do not call a girl back until at least two days later. Silly guy laws. SHE called ME back the very next day! Awesome!

A word of caution with puzzle-caches. When posting your log, do not include spoiler answers in your log, lest you risk the unfortunate deletion of your valuable log. It is such a sad tragedy when an inappropriate log brings upon the inevitable destruction of itself.

You are looking for a black ammo box with a cantuland-geocache-logo painted on the sides. Original contents include a Guide to Geocaching, a Sacagawea gold dollar coin, a Kansas quarter, a Lewis-and-Clark edition nickel, one of those new-Lincoln-image-on-the-back pennies, an old wheat penny, and lots of other miscellaneous trade items.

Congratulations to both frog4peace and crossmage for being First To Find!

The Cadaeic Cadenza contains information on memorizing the first 3835 digits of pi. The contents of that book is irrelevant in this case. However, the word Cadaeic in the title of the book is also based on pi. Taking "A" as 1, "B" as 2, "C" as 3, etc., "Cadaeic" is the first 7 digits of pi, rounding on that last one.
