This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: As there's been no cache to find for a long time, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Geocache Description:

This traditional cache resides alongside the disused Hornsea to Hull railway line in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The line now forms one end of the Trans-Pennine Trail forming a walking / cycling route between the North Sea to the Irish Sea. The cache is located within the now overgrown Sigglesthorne Railway Station.

Sigglesthorne is documented in the Doomsday Book as 'Siglestorne'. The station is much closer to Great Hatfield than Sigglesthorne but at the time of creating the railway line there was already a Hatfield Station near Doncaster and so the name Sigglesthorne Station was chosen. The original cache was a two litre plastic box inside a plastic bag. It originally contained: Plastic Ermintrude 20 Euro cents Snowman Reindeer bag Allen key Pink comb July 2021 cache replaced with small plastic lid-locked container.
