Geocache Description:

The Oxford cemetery is about all that remains of the community of Oxford that was founded in 1880 by confederate veteran A.J.Johnson. The cemetery contains the graves of many of the early settlers of Llano county including A.J.Johnson [1832-1912] the founder of Oxford and James R. Moss [1843-1924], who captained the Packsaddle Mountain Fight, An 1873 battle that drove raiding Indians out of Llano County. The coordinate will bring you to the historical marker, from there you can see where to go.

To find the cache you must find two headstones, the first reads:
James B. Buie
Nov. 3, 1858
Oct. 18, 1928
The second read:
John Henry Englemann
Apr. 9, 1852
Nov. 19, 1926
If you stand at the first headstone and look toward the second headstone, it will point you to the cache which is located within the confines of the cemetery. There is a lot of the history of Llano county here. Enjoy your stay!
