A paved path goes within 5 feet of the cache.
I used to stop in this area often after my daily commute from Florence to North Bend. I used to go to the scenic area to the left of the parking area and did not realize for quite some time that there was a trail going off in the other direction. There are rest rooms and several picnic areas and a great view of the ocean and the dunes. You will need a Coastal Pass or pay the $5.00 daily fee to visit this site and most of the others along the coast.
