MsDelilah: Unfortunately there has been no response regarding this geocache, and sadly I am forced to archive it at this time. If at some point in the near future the cache is determined to still be present or is replaced, please e-mail me via the link on my profile page. If it still meets the current guidelines, we can discuss unarchiving it at that time.

Thank you,

Geocache Description:

This is a quick grab for anyone out in the Oakley area. You can drive your vehicle right up close to the hiding spot.

This cache is dedicated to the Oakley Meadows stagestop station. This area was once the home to the Oakley Meadows stage stop built by William Oakley. As passengers traveled from Utah to Boise, many would stop along these stage stops for a quick rest. One report states that the station was built about 1870, other records indicate that this stop was used by the Pony Express as early as 1863 or 1864. The buildings are long gone, but it is still a very beautiful area. Cache is an army cannister with all of the usual treats. Thanks for coming to Oakley!
