Geocache Description:

Near the township of Leinster, WA. Hidden behind some rocky outcrops, several of which exhibit holes weathered into them. A 4x4 is not required to access this cache.

I used to travel from Kalgoorlie to Leinster quite regularly for work. I was suprised to find that there were no geocaches along the highway once you pass Leonora.

The cache is a large metal ammo box hidden amongst one of the rocky outcrops on the turnoff to Leinster. There are several outcrops which exhibit large holes that have been weathered into them. Take your time and explore the area to find some other interesting outcrops. A lot of quartz on the ground as well.

Please take the time to re-hide the cache carefully and to cover it with rocks so that it is not muggled. I have tried to keep it away from the road so to lessen the chance of being spotted by muggles.

If you are travelling, there is a Service Station located in the township only a few kilometres away. They used to make a really good hamburger! Also have a look at the piece of machinery on the side of the road. I have been told that it is for boring vertical holes for things like ventilation shafts. Does anyone have anymore info on this piece of machinery? (See log entry by Westy Clan for a great description).
