Idaho Geocachers

This mine was a late comer to War Eagle Mountain. The mine started working in 1939. The mine was leased from the Leonard family in Silver City by an Eastern Idaho based mining company with the hopes of striking it rich. As with many of them before, the enthusiasm was not matched by the value of the ore. You can see the remains of the old building and a partial hole into the mine. WARNING: DO NOT ENTER THE MINE. This cache is part of a mining series on War Eagle to help geocachers identify some of the different mines.
