This cache started its life as "See the Point", a multi. At the same time that I edited it to become a traditional, I also found that it had disappeared, so this is its new reincarnation.
The new location is no longer up the hill so the views aren't quite as impressive, but I just couldn't find a good hide location up there. The little track to get up the hill was fairly steep and slippery at the start, so the new hide is much easier to get to. It's still nice to look out over the beach from the cache.
After finding it, you may wish to continue up the track (avoiding the slippery section in the process) : the views are lovely of the beach, the lagoon, the cliffs and surrounding coastline.
Near the Cremorne Shop, there are facilities so you may wish to bring a picnic or BBQ. And the beach is a very nice one for beach-type activities! There are restricted hours for dogs over the summer months.
You might like to park near the shop and stroll along the beach towards the cache, or park at the end and make your stroll that much shorter!
Cache is a 500ml plastic cammoed container. A few logs have mentioned the barbed wire, but it's easy to avoid. Just go up one of the little tracks on to the grassy bank about 30m before the cache. Then just follow the track straight along to the cache.
A dead tree has also fallen over the cache area since placement but a clear and open little path still leads directly to GZ!
