Il Monte Mar di Capanna (292 m) è uno stupendo punto di osservazione su una vasta area dell’isola d’elba, e quindi un bel posto dove nascondere un cache. Vi si arriva salendo dalla strada a sinistra dopo i campi da golf dell’Acquabona (venendo da Portoferraio verso Porto Azzurro), in direzione “BURACCIO”, oppure da Porto Azzurro, facendo una via più ripida ma molto bella. Lungo il cammino si può osservare anche il golfo Stella e il paese di Capoliveri. Oltrepassata la stradina di accesso all’ ”Agriturismo il Fortino del Braccio”, proseguire fino a raggiungere una pinetina che fa da divisorio fra il panorama su porto Azzurro e quello su Portoferraio. Nel versante di Porto Azzurro è visibile anche la grande croce che domina il porto dall’alto del colle, illuminata durante la notte. La cache è un piccolo barattolo di plastica,protetto da un sacchetto da freezer, che contiene: 1 portachiavi 1 zucca spruzzante 1 orsetto pescatore 1 vecchia moneta da 10 lire 1 matita 1 fazzoletto rinfrescante 1 Log Monte Mar di Capanna (292 m) is a beautiful point of view on a big area of Elba Island, and so a good point were hide a cache! You need turn left (on the road from Portoferraio to Porto Azzurro) following direction “BURACCIO”, or from a road from Porto Azzurro, making a steeper but very beautiful way; it’s good for bike. By the way you can see the Golfo Stella and the village of Capoliveri. You bypass the entry road of the “agriturismo il fortino del buraccio”, following to arrive to a little pines forest that divide the panoramas on Porto Azzurro e Portoferraio. On the mountain up to Porto Azzurro you can see the big cross that is lighted on the night.
