Oly Junior Pines Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Lurpyman: I have a great deal of respect for the students that helped to create this park and enjoyed hosting a cache that brought new people here. After replacing several containers at the site, I have decided that it is getting too costly to keep replacing the containers. I hope that someone places a new cache in this area.

Geocache Description:

We hear a great deal about all of the bad things that a few teens do in our community, but we don’t hear enough about all of the good things that the rest of them do.  This cache recognizes the good kids at Olympus Junior High School who saw a problem and came together to solve it.

After discovering that the largest Australian Pine in the United states was  being threatened by an impending road realignment, the students adopted the intersection in order to help save these magnificent trees

The container is rather small, so you will need to bring your own writing instrument.  Perhaps the hardest part of this cache will be trying to open the container.

This cache was placed by a member of UTAG.
