Geocache Description:

In the St. Stephen Rural Cemetery

The St. Stephen Rural Cemetery is one of two graveyards in town, and was established in 1856. Many families disinterred their loved one’s remains from smaller sites and relocated them to the new one, explaining why many of the headstones predate the cemetery’s incorporation. This site is widely known as one of the most beautiful of its kind in the region, with winding paths and ancient pine trees.

The cache site can be approached by automobile, but why not take the time for a walk around this lovely property? Please be stealthy, as there is a caretaker who may wonder what you are up to.
