Deze cache is de tweede van de serie Wouter's Wondere Wereld, waarbij ik de cachers stukjes van Zuidoost Brabant wil laten zien waar ik zelf ga wandelen of fietsen en waar nog geen andere cache ligt.
Wouter's Wondere Wereld 2 ligt in een mooi en rustig gebied ten zuiden van de Strabrechtse Heide. Het is een zeer gevarieerde wandeling van ongeveer 5-6 km: je komt door of langs open dennenbos, sparrenbos, gemengd bos, heide, weidelanden en een mooie laan. De paden zijn ook goed op de fiets te doen, maar deze route is bedoeld om te wandelen. Als je graag fietst, dan is de cache WWW 3: Elementen Fietscache een aanrader.
Houd je aan de regels van het gebied! Blijf op de paden en bezoek het gebied niet tussen zonsondergang en zonsopkomst. Bijna alle waypoints liggen op het pad. WP 4 ligt op de fundering van een huis en de cache ligt dicht bij het pad. Als een waypoint (behalve 4) ver naast het pad lijkt te liggen dan is het niet goed en kun je het beste alles nog even narekenen of heeft de GPS door dicht bos een grote afwijking.
De cache is klein voor een ‘regular' en er kunnen dus geen grote goedies in.
De inhoud van de cache bij het leggen is:
• Stashnote (laten liggen)
• Logboekje en pen in hersluitbaar diepvrieszakje (loggen en laten liggen)
• “Gouden”, “zilveren” en “bronzen” munt voor de eerste drie vinders.
• Travelbug Sheep on the Move (voor de ontmaagder)
• Enkele goedies om te ruilen
De opdrachten
N.B. De uitvoering is niet precies hetzelfde als WWW 1! Een letter kan nu ook staan voor een twee cijferig getal.
Om de cache te vinden moeten enkele waypointberekeningen worden gemaakt. Als voor een coordinaat bijv. N 51º 22.(X-2)Y’ staat en X = 7, Y = 12 dan betekent dit N 51º 22.(7-2)12’ = N 51º 22.512’.
Een ander voorbeeld: E 005º 37.(X*Y)X’ wordt E 005º 37.(84)7’ = E 005º 37.847’
Om geen verwarring te veroorzaken worden de letters E en I niet gebruikt.
Als je met de auto bent: het startpunt N 51º 22.408’ - E 005º 37.562’ ligt op een kleine parkeerplaats.
Dichtbij staat een oorlogsmonument. Hoeveel is het verschil in geboortejaar tussen de jongste en oudste overledene?

De ontvangst bij de cache is door bladerdek vaak slecht en bij nat weer valt het soms helemaal weg. Daarom geef ik hier een paar hints:
De GPS heeft meestal 15 tot 20 meter over als je direct naar de cache toe loopt. Stop dan en wacht even. Je zult zien dat de afstand tot de cache terugloopt. Na 1 of 2 minuten is het bij mij meestal 5 meter of minder.
De cache ligt dicht bij het pad. Zoek niet meer dan 2 tot 3 meter naast het pad.

This cache is the second of the series “Wouter’s Wondere Wereld”, in which I want to show the cachers parts of Southeast Brabant where I go walking or cycling and where no other cache is hidden yet.
“Wouter’s Wondere Wereld 2” is in a nice and quiet area south of the “Strabrechtse Heide”. It is a very varied walk of about 5-6 km: you walk through or past open pinewood, firwood, mixed woods, heath, pastures and a beautiful lane. The paths can be done easily by bike, but this route is meant for walking.
Please keep to the rules of the area! Stay on the paths and don’t visit the area between sunset and sunrise. Almost all waypoints are on a path. WP 4 is on the foundation of a house and the cache lies close to the path. If a waypoint (except 4) seems to be far beside the path it isn’t right and you better check your calculations or the GPS has a large inaccuracy because of dense woods.
The cache is small for a ‘regular' and no large goodies fit in it.
The Assignments
Note: the cache is not exactly like WWW 1! A letter can now also stand for a two digit number.
To find the cache, some waypoint calculations have to be made.
For example: if a coordinate says N 51º 22.(X-2)Y’ and X = 7, Y = 12 it means N 51º 22.(7-2)12’ = N 51º 22.512’
Another example: E 005º 37.(X*Y)X’ becomes E 005º 37.(84)7’ = E 005º 37.847’
To avoid any confusion the letters E and I are not used.

The Cache

The reception near the cache is often poor because of leaf cover and in wet weather the reception often fails completely. Because of that I give a few hints here:
Most of the times the GPS has 15 tot 20 meters remaining if you walk straight to the cache. Stop at that point and wait a little while. You will see that the distance to the cache decreases. In my case it is often 5 meters or less after 1 or 2 minutes.
The cache lies close to the path. Don’t search more than 2 tot 3 meters off the path.
