This place has definitely seen better days. I wish I knew what it was like way back when it was new. Before the Otay Fire (same day as the Cedar Fire) this place actually still had the thatched roof, though it was quite caved in. Anybody that has any further history on the area, I would love to hear. Inside, there's a picture of it from quite a few years ago it. Please leave the picture inside the cache.

I parked at the shovel at the split in the road and walked 1/4 mile. You can park within 50 feet if you are brave enough to try that road. Without 4X4, you may be walking in from Chuy's Dangling Balls. In that case expect a hike of just over 1 mile.
After the Harris Fire, the area that allows access to this cache has been closed to motor vehicles. You can still access it via hiking, MTN bike, and Horseback (good luck getting a horse over that gate or under the barbed wire though!) The Hike will be about two miles one way. There are 4 other caches out there so it would make a really decent MTN bike trip.
This cache as been muggled twice now, please be sure to cover it up really well with bark and leaves. Hopefully, since I moved it to a less exposed area, and the closed roads will keep some of the people out, it won't be such a problem.
Not recommended as a Night Hunt as it will draw unwanted attention from the Border Patrol.
