Geocache Description:

A pleasant walk along the Chesterfield Canal, wonderfully quiet yet only a mile from A1

The cache is a snap-lid plastic box, clearly labelled as a cache. The container is a few metres off the towpath of the Chesterfield Canal (which is also marked as the Cuckoo Way on some maps). The canal is very clear and you'll be lucky to see any boats moving along. Nearby is Osberton Lock, where the lock house is on a little island. For more information on the canal see (visit link)

This is a lovely area of countryside and easily accessible from the A1 (turn off at Ranby A620), so have an explore

The cache contains a number of puzzle-type things for you to take and enjoy - please try to keep to the theme if you can!

Oh yes... apologies to those who use 1:25000 maps to get about but the cache is situated right on the join between two sheets!!

UPDATE: 4/2/2012: Replaced the cache in a new hide. It is a small round black container. No puzzles this time, but it would be nice to see some added. Thanks!
