Geocache Description:

An interesting recreational area from long(?)ago. My son and I came across this area while looking for other caches in the area within the Paul Douglas Forest Preserve in the Grassy Ridge Meadows Park. This used to be called Fleetwing Farm Tubing Hill in the 1970's to mid 1980's.

This is the third incarnation of this cache. The previous host was removed. This forest preserve now features a mountain bike trail, that has some access restrictions based on the day of the week. To keep it simple, park in the lot off of Central and walk east on the paved Red trail, past the Yellow bike trailhead, to the Connector trail at location 35 (see the posted trail maps along the trail or the Trail Map from Parking photo in the gallery). The connector trail passes through a Yellow bike trail intersection, and continues north to the base of the old tubing hill. There is a one way trail to the top of the hill, then another trail back down. Use the trail, not the steep side of the back of the hill.
