Geocache Description:

Look between a rock and a hard spot to find this cache.
The cache is a clear plastic jar with a white lid.

The original contents of the cache include:
2 rulers
2 Christmas ornamet packs
1 golf ball
1 antenna ball
1 cross necklace
1 charm pack
1 Light of the World pin
1 Donald Duck figurine
1 bungee cord
1 magnetic clip
1 deck of cards
1 scratch pad
1 address book
1 Liberty Bell pin
1 ink pen
1 bag of rubber fishing worms

Our niece and nephew (teenagers) visiting from Minneapolis helped prepare the cache and locate its hiding place. They intend to monitor logs from their home. The cache is located in a county park in Eden Township. We had an infestation of woodchucks on our acreage this spring. I could not bring myself to shoot them, so we trapped them in live traps, and released them near where the cache is now located. Hence the name.

The site was originally a gravel pit. Then 40 years ago it was converted to a swimming spot for the Schaller kids, before they installed the pool. The cement foundation is what is left of the shower and changing rooms. The lifeguards had access to a .22 cal. rifle to shoot an occational snapping turtle that wondered into the water. If you look around, you can imagine the location as it was, filled with kids enjoying the water on a hot day in the 60's. Enjoy.
