Piter Payne
A Kansas Heartland Geocache
When my son was a little toddler, one of his favorite books was Peter Pan from the Little Golden Books. He always wanted me to read it, but he always wanted me to read it correctly; I never did. He would bring me the book and sit on my leg so I could show him the pictures as I read it out loud to him. He loved the story of little boys running around being in trouble all the time on purpose. At every instance of the words Peter Pan, I would read it out loud as Piter Payne.
He would always interrupt my reading with, "Daddy! It's Peter Pan!"
"Ohhh...Okay," I would always reply, and then continue with the story just to come up to another Piter Payne a few words later.
