York is Close Traditional Cache
NevaP: Many trees have been cut down including the one that held this cache so I am archiving it. I had a potential replacement with me today but I'm leery about the future of the trees here so I didn't do a replacement or start a new cache in a different tree. Reconsidering the situation.

The cache is accessible from westbound I-80 and there is parking for RVs and large trucks. Muggles abound in the vicinity but the cache location is a bit out of the high use area.
I noted on a maintenance run, 4/27/10, when I actually turned on my GPSr as I approached the area that Garmin Mapsend was trying to route me to the cache via a non-existent road that must have once come from the north. I expect you could hike in that way. Best to reach it from westbound I-80.
The container is a decon can with room for small trade items, which is what it initially contains, along with a log paper, a small pencil and the usual cache instruction paper.
These cans are really waterproof but they can be difficult to open and close. I usually fare best by trying pry it open at the back. To close it tightly be sure the hang strap is not caught on the rim, set the can down on something solid, and push down hard until you hear a click.
