If anyone finds the final before me they can keep it.

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Path is defined, and infrequently used. Please leave the pencil, eraser and sharpener as not swaps. Boat access possible hence attribute.

The Screes are impressive, the tallest in Britain, as continue under water. Scenery is superb. Area has notoriety for England's deepest lake, tallest screes and number of bodies found.

AFAIK there is no boat hire, so bring your own. Motor and sail boats prohibited, canoes and row boats allowed in groups smaller than 15. (National Trust).

There is plenty of free parking.

Check for weather and advice. If Scafell summit clagged, this could be low level alternative.

If motivated, please log size of party, weather and footwear. After setting the cache, runner came past.
Sunset around Buckbarrow

It was a wonderful sunset. Well worth a visit.

Things to remove from a cache and not to swap in the first instance. Food stuff, sweets, batteries, coins, plasters (Band-Aid) anything in a sachet, anything liquid, marker pens.
