As you approach the cache, you will be walking on a carpet of twinflower.
Twinflower is actually a very low-growing shrub. The pairs of small, fragrant, pink flowers are found in late spring. The rest of the year you will recognize it by the dark green elliptical leaves, also borne in pairs.
Tread lightly!
Fall 2010 - the growth here during the last 6 years is amazing. You no longer walk across a field of twinflower plants. They are still there, but you have to wend your way through many taller plants to get to the cache.
Summer 2022 - park as stated and then go a few feet down the driveway to the Public Trail. The owners apparently placed their private sign in the wrong location.
