Road Block
A Kansas Heartland Geocache
While traveling through
Yellowstone we saw a line of cars coming from the opposite
direction, slowly driving behind a bison that was leading the cars,
blocking the lane. With us being the oncoming traffic for them,
they had no choice but to follow the bison as it walked down the
center of that lane. Right behind the bison was a bright yellow
sports car that couldn't go around; poor guy. That looked funny. We
got a picture of the moving road block as we drove by.
We passed the bison and the
line of cars and drove over the next hill to discover that right
there in front of us was another bison, blocking both lanes
of traffic. We had to wait on the bison until he decided to trot
off and be the lead bison in front of our car. Now we were
the car stuck behind the bison that walked down the lane. After a
bit, it crossed the yellow centerline and walked down the other
lane as the line of cars passed the bison with us in the
lead.
You are looking for a black
ammo box with a cantuland-geocache-logo painted on the sides.
Original contents include a Guide to Geocaching, a Sacagawea gold dollar
coin, a Kansas quarter, a Lewis-and-Clark edition nickel, one of
those new-Lincoln-image-on-the-back pennies, an old wheat penny,
and lots of other miscellaneous trade items.
