Traditional kid friendly cache that only requires a short flat
walk through one of the White Mountains National Forest
campgrounds.
Enjoy a dip in the Peabody River while you're there or a hike
along the lovely Great Gulf Link trail. Cache is an ammo can and
includes various trinkets and small toys for kids.
Day visitors to the campground should drive through the main
gate to the end of the campground road and park at the Great Gulf
Link trailhead lot. This is the closest non-camper parking.
Note that in winter this road will be closed: Park at the main
gate and walk, snowshoe or x-country ski to the cache destination.
Please be considerate of the campground and its guests and don't
tramp through campsites.
Also, since it's a campground, there are an abundance of Muggles
so try to yell "I found it!" quietly and rehide the cache well
:)
