Geocache Description:

Help welcome cachers to our neighborhood by taking some of the cache supplies in this box, and creating a new cache - extra points if it's in the relatively cache-poor area of Oakland that spans between the MacArthur and Nimitz freeways, from Lake Merritt to San Leandro. But any cache anywhere is fine!

The cache is a rubbermaid box, about the size of a bread-box, with clear sides and a blue and yellow lid. It's filled with tupperware containers and some smaller cylindrical containers, as well as log-sheets and pencils.

The easiest trailhead is at the corner of Stella and Malcolm. Using this trail is strongly advised, so as to avoid poison oak and fence blockades. Once you get within close range of the cache, it's hidden about 15 feet off the trail.

Due to tree cover, coordinates were challenging to derive. Thanks to Dandm for providing coordinates that were better than what we came up with the first time, and which are now the official coordinates for the cache.
