Parking is located east of the two bodies of water that border Route 44. Park at the end of the street. The blue trail is mostly flat and wide but there are several short, steep climbs over rocks. Caution: These can be very slippery in wet weather.
This is another of those small islands of nature that are located in this part of the state. Literally thousands of people drive by every day and don't even know that the place exists. The name of the cache comes from the fact that the largest, and as I believe, only cascade (waterfall) in the state is located here. Remeber: We are talking about Rhode Island here, don't expect to see Niagra Falls. The cascade only exists during times of very high water. Click on The Cascade photo icon to see what the cascade looks like in real high water! If you follow the blue trail, you will get close to the cache, if you pick the right side trail you will get very close. The cache was started with woggles, tape, Gu2O, pocket screwdrivers and the like.
