Second of two caches planted at the New York State Fairgrounds
This sneaky film canister is planted near the Chevrolet Court in the New York State Fairgrounds. I wanted to hide it towards the back of the court but had to move it here due to the presence of the Night Spot geocache nearby.
This can be a easy cache or a menace depending on what events are going on at the Fairgrounds and GPS reception, which gets erratic as you get closer to this one. During the State Fair you are advised to do this late at night after most people (and tenants) are gone. But if you are here for something else like the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra's July 4th performance and fireworks, it can be easy. When the cache was placed, a nearby hottub display prompted the need for geo-stealth. Probably a good idea to take it somewhere before signing the log. (The log may be a bit moist since I found it with the cap off at it's former hiding spot which turned out to be too close to another cache.)
The film canister contains only a logbook so make sure to BYOP. Trade items won't fit in this one.
Happy caching!
** coterm59 is the FTF here - congratulations!
