Geocache Description:

September AGA Meet, Greet and Eat. (Some geocaching may occur as
well)

It’s North Alabama’s turn to host the monthly meeting and the weather is finally getting cooler, so let’s get together and enjoy the great outdoors. Nothing fancy, just a chance to sit in the shade and visit with old friends, meet some new friends and have a bite to eat. With the hurricane disaster, gas prices, and back to school pains, let’s follow the KISS approach (Keep It Simple, Stupid). Bring what works for you, brown bag lunch, picnic basket, or a potluck offering. We will start setting up and gathering at 10:30 and eat at 11:30 to 12:00. The location has a covered pavilion with picnic tables. We’ll meet, greet, eat, clean up our mess and go on a big cache run through the Rocket City. Campsites and rustic cabins are available at nearby Monte Sano State Park for those who are so inclined. For details, see (visit link)

Bring a friend and come on up, over or down, as the case may be. Post your attendance and meal plans and we will see what shapes up, and don’t forget to KISS!

UPDATE: We have a backlog of Cachers who have reached the 1000 or 2000 mark and have not received their Gold Ammo Box. Boxes and logs will be set up for the honorees, so bring a gift, trinket or bauble to for each box, sign the log and log the box as a find! For those recipients that can't make the meeting, their Gold box will be presented at the October meeting.
