For those of you who have not been here before, you’re in for a treat. Another cache had brought me here in the past so the original purpose of this visit was to place an interim stage of a multi-cache. (You’ll see what I mean when you get here) However, once I started following a different trail I was so taken by it’s beauty, I knew it needed to be a cache of its own. As I was leaving, I came upon a family – each child carrying a swimming tube. The kids were screaming with excitement, so I stopped to chat with the mom for a moment. She explained that the tubes were strictly for the kids, that adults weighed them down too much and the water just wasn’t deep enough. Ah, the joys of youth.
Since originally placing this cache, they have made wonderful improvements to the magnificent area - new parking area, nice benches along the trail. And most notably, a wider road and a brand new bridge to span the river. Really a gem of a spot.
The cache is a medium size lock n lock container.
This new location requires a bit of bushwacking but nothing too strenuous. Beware of muggles – this is a popular location.
