This cache is located at the Floodgates at the north end of Strangford Lough just outside Newtownards.
The Floodgates can be accessed from a small carpark on the Portaferry road on the outskirts of Ards as you head towards Greyabbey. Here the old canal enters Strangford Lough. Although not the most picturesque of places due to the rubbish, the mudflats are an important feeding ground for migrating birds.
Plenty of interest for plane buffs as there is a flying club nearby.
