S&G's Rainbow Cache Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Scamp&Greylock: We've archived this cache as a multi since the color markers keep disappearing. We'll rename it as a new cache and make it an easier traditional cache so there will hopefully be more visitors. Have fun at S&G's Rainbow Cache 2.

Geocache Description:

Mount Greylock is rich in both nature and history. One of the early settlers of Berkshire County, Ephraim Bradley, once farmed the land that the Visitors Center and the interpretive Bradley Farm Trail are on today. This easy family-friendly walk will lead to this cache on Mount Greylock State Reservation.

Parking for this cache is at the Visitors Center at the base of Mt. Greylock. While the parking lot is open 24/7, the Visitor's Center is open daily incl. weekends from 8AM-9PM. The trail begins and ends at the northeast corner of the parking lot. Plan on spending about 90 minutes if hiking at a moderate pace. A self-guided trail brochure can be found on the large trail sign.
You will be walking along the Bradley Farm Trail, a relatively easy 1.8 mi. walk. You will look for the colors of the rainbow at 3 separate sets of coordinates along the trail and then insert the numbers on the colors in the final set of coordinates for the cache itself. All elements of this cache are at least 3 feet above the ground to make this cache winter-friendly. Begin at the end of the parking lot at the sign explaining the Bradley Farm Trail. Walk along the trail to N 42* 33.202 and W 73* 12.694 and look for red and orange markers. All markers are from 10-30 ft.from the trail and are visible from the trail. Note the numbers on the colors and continue. Walk along the trail to N 42* 33.835 and W 73* 12.383 and look for yellow and green markers. Note the numbers on the colors. The trail now crosses the paved road and continues. Walk to N 42* 33.801 and W 73* 12.691 and look for blue and violet markers. Note the numbers on the colors. Insert the numbers in the coordinates for the final cache. It will look like this:
N 42* 33.(red)(orange)yellow)
W 73* 12.(green)(blue)(violet)
You have now found all the colors of the rainbow and will be able to look for the final cache. The cache container is... now what would you expect to find at the end of the rainbow?
